Conference Programs Metadata

The conference programs’ metadata highlights the names of Caribbean women writers and scholars featured in each program.​

There are standard metadata fields such as Title, Spatial Coverage, Description, Publisher, Language, Date, Rights, and Acquisitions Source, but an additional metadata category of  “Participants (Writers and Scholars)” was added to encourage site visitors to consider which particular writers and scholars convene with one another in the same space and moment. When read alongside fields such as Spatial Coverage, the Participants’ metadata makes visible the transnational and multicultural dimension of Caribbean women’s literature. It enables future research to trace the names, places, languages, and intellectual exchanges that converge through ACWWS conferences.
